Dayton Opera is a not-for-profit organization, founded in 1960, that receives funding from a variety of public, corporate, individual and private sources. Income from ticket sales accounts for less than half of what it costs to produce outstanding opera for the Greater Dayton community. Without the interest and investment of Dayton Opera’s patrons and donors, Dayton would not have its own opera company.
