Fifty for Fifty More: The Challenge Continues!

The $50,000 anonymous grant for the “Fifty for Fifty” Annual Fund Challenge in the 50^th Anniversary Season was successfully matched! More than 200 donors stepped up with generous new or increased gifts to the 2010-2011 Annual Fund campaign and met the $50,000 challenge, dollar for dollar.  Inspired by the success of this challenge, another anonymous donor has come forward with a very generous new challenge grant. 

This important $50,000 challenge launches the beginning of Dayton Opera’s second fifty years and a new campaign, “Fifty for Fifty More!” All new and increased levels of giving made in the 50^th season, if maintained or increased in our 51^st season, plus new or increased gifts for the 51^st, will be matched dollar for dollar until $50,000 has been reached. The challenge continues! The “Fifty for Fifty More” Challenge provides a wonderful incentive to maintain or begin new or increased levels of annual fund giving in the 2011-2012 “Transcendent” Season of Dayton Opera, and a strong financial beginning for the next fifty years.
